I am very thrilled when one of my friends tell me that they are inspired by my blog to take a second look at something on the curb, step out of their comfort zone and be brave enough to grab it!
Sibling Curb Alert!
One of those proud moments was this weekend when my sister sent me these pictures of her new treasures. Of all people, I would have NEVER thought she would
stoop to my level be silly enough to jump out of her car in broad daylight to pick up a discarded treasure. She found these milk crates and I agree how she couldn't pass them up!
Actually I am honored that she saw something thrown out and repurposed it into something awesome. Now know this ... she makes fun of herself and boasts that she is NOT the crafty one of the family but after seeing what she did with them, now I beg to differ. She may not be crafty but she's very CREATIVE (don't you agree?)
She may very well be a little "Crafty McCrafterson" herself! Look how cute they look in my nephew's room! I may be in for some family competition now! Thank goodness she lives across town or I would have to fight for my neighborhood territory! (like how I used to chase her around the house with a brush or nail polish - don't ask!)
I am so proud of you, my little sister! And thank you for encouraging me and making my day.
YOU inspire ME!
Happy Treasure Hunting!
P.S. I am going to take a little break from blogging this week and take care of some family business (until I get my crashed computer back) Actually, it's a great excuse for getting some things in order
like mounds of ignored laundry, spring cleaning, and spending more time with my precious family. Thanks for your patience, I hope you all have a great week!
