Kitchen Chalkboard

2

I loved this frame the minute I set eyes on it in one of my favorite little resale shops.  I loved it even more when I saw the price-tag, a whopping six dollars with the glass.  It was a gaudy gold color and very dirty but I saw the potential in it and scooped it up right away.  I had to have it!

I have been lurking reading through blogs this past year and love all of the chalkboard frames in blogland.  I decided to give it a try and with a little bit of sanding, painting and chalk board paint it turned out lovely.  I have it displayed in my kitchen and use it all of the time.  I love to decorate it, let the kids decorate it and put cute little sayings on it. I always get complimented on it when we have family or friends over.  It makes me smile 🙂

This is what it looks like this week, take a look!

Hoping for a fun weekend!

  1. Hi Tami!

Melisa Hart from The Cordelia Files here. I'd love for you to repost my Dumpster Diving post! Just make sure to add a link back to my blog please.

And I'm green with envy over your chalkboard frame. I've been wanting to make my very own but have not yet had any luck finding a good frame in my desired budget. It's so cute!

  2. I am still loving the frame.
I need to still upload some before pics to show how shabby it looked pre-painted!
I just featured your post today – thanks! 🙂
