I was about to take these chargers to the resale shop to sell, but at the last moment decided to use one or two for something crafty for Christmas.
Here is what I did, and it really didn’t take much time at all!
Our youngest is counting down the days (literally asking me 12 times a day) how many days until Christmas. I thought this would be a fun solution!
Let’s get started:
I sanded the inner circles with a 150 grit sandpaper just to roughen them up a bit and then painted them with chalkboard paint that I had leftover from my daughter’s Chalkboard Wall Room Makeover.
I adhered the bows to the tops of the plates with hot glue and cut the streamers just right. I grabbed a white chalk pen and wrote the Christmas Countdown … “Days Until Christmas”
I think it turned out pretty great and will look great with our decor.
I thought my sister would like one so I decided to make one for her family.
My husband liked it and thought it would make a great gift for his coworkers in the office so asked if I minded making more.
More turned into a few more…
A few more turned into 12 more! 8 more than I originally had last night so the sweet wife that I am, I stayed up late and finished them all.
My husband elf was geared up for the office this morning, bearing gifts for all!
Since I gave away my original red charger plate in the office gifts, I decided to make another for myself today. I was loving my sister’s gold plate/ribbons and replicated it for myself. So glad I did!
Merry Christmas!
