Buttercup begged and begged for daddy to buy her a tiny painted pumpkin at Home Depot this weekend. Of course he gave in. As soon as she got home she ran onto the front porch and proudly said, “see Mommy, I helped the ladder look cute!” I couldn’t resist that big smile on her face and kept the pumpkin there. It gave it just the right touch, don’t you think?

I am sure she will re-organize it a few hundred more times before Halloween! That’s okay, it’s all in fun!
I mentioned there probably would not be much out on trash day (*ahem!) Monday but I was surprised at some things that people had out there with the torrential rainfall we had all day on Sunday. (I am not complaining – WE NEEDED IT BAD!) but I was just preparing myself for nothing!
There was this couch – I’ll Pass!:
|Ummm, how WET is that couch!? dont’ think I care to find out!
And a desk – I’ll Pass!:
I also saw some wood pallets and would love to try a new project w/them but passed them up simply because I am not ready to tackle this anytime soon (and I always see people posting them on Freecycle):

And then I almost peed in my pants when I drove by this cute little chair. I swerved over pulled over and scooped up this pretty little WET chair and took it home quick. *Note to self, in the future put wet things in the back of the SUV and not on the upholstered seats!* Now I probably need to get out that Little Mean Green Machine that i borrowed from Mom and Dad last weekend! Back to the chairs… As soon as I got home I took some quick pictures and tore off and threw away all of the wet mess. I then went out to the store and lo and behold the same household put out the matching chair!
Here they are with my little sidekick who insisted I take her picture with them!
Awwwww, she’s so cute! MUAH! I have my work cut out for me, these chairs are pretty chippy and shabby!
Any ideas on what I should do with them? How I should paint or stain them?
Would love some ideas.
I have really enjoyed linking up to parties this past week and meeting new blogger friends!
Happy Treasure Hunting!
