Never Trust a Quiet Four Year Old!

If you are friends with me on Facebook you have already seen what our family has been up to and the reason why I have not been as consistent in my writing lately.  I sure do miss posting more frequently like I used to!
I am definitely having blogger withdrawals.  Don’t get me wrong, I love being at home with my kiddos during the summer but by this time mom is running out of ideas to entertain them.  They can only handle so many Pinterest inspired art projects, camps are over and the pool is getting old to them.

Since we are deep into the Olympics right now I thought I would share with you a personal award I have earned …

Mom of The Year, I tell ya!
Not a very proud moment

This is what happens when mom is busy working on mom-time for more than fifteen minutes and enjoying a few rare quiet moments.  I should have known better than to trust the silence in the household!
Thank goodness our hair-dresser was able to remedy the situation right away!
Now my sweet little Buttercup looks like a sweet little Pixie Girl!
Have any of your kiddos ever done this?  I can still recall when my little sister did this so many, many years ago and we teased about it for years! (sorry Holly, I love you!)
So go now and hide all of your scissors!…just sayin’!

I always think kids cutting their own hair is so funny! My kids have never cut their own….just each others! lol

Both my sisters and myself have cut our own hair around your daughter's age. unfortunately for us, it was our bangs.

I'm glad it was just the back you had to deal with, it takes a long time for those bangs to grow back in!

I think most kids go through that stage, and yes bangs take longer to grow. Glad they could fix her oooops!!!

Two days before our big family portrait appointment my 3 yr daughter decided she wanted bangs and could not wait for mom to do it…yup…reverse mohawk! She managed to cut a clear path from her forehead about 6 inches back….oy vey!

I cried for an entire day. Her hair was so beautiful. But we were also able to gave an emergency hairdresser appt and it got a little better. Now a year later i can laugh. I so tried not to make a big deal out of it, but i think the 4 yo did notice the sobs!
