Christmas Trees on the Curb!

I wanted to tell you a little more about the Christmas Trees that I found on trash day Monday.  I have come across a kabillion dead Christmas trees over the last few weeks so I was a little more excited this time when I came across these trees.

Here is how I found them:

(I am really going to miss the Picnik website, I love these Polaroid shots! – guess I’d better be brave and start to learn a different software! Has anyone seen the Polaroid frame in any other programs? If so please share where!)

I love this gold tree.  It looks like it holds candles and I stripped some of the other berries off of it.  I put it directly in the attic as is and will put it to good use next holiday season!

Here is the other tree.  I like the crisscross design of it and had just a touch of glitter on the branches!

Well I could not really tell that until I stripped off the ribbons and left it bare bones.

My original intention was to throw out the ribbons but after it took me forever to strip those 50 or so darn babies off of there I realized there was quite a crafty stash there that I can use on a future project!

And look at the deco mesh!  There was over 12 feet of it and the pictures do not do it justice for all of it’s shininess (Is that a word?)!  For now, I just shoved it all back up into the form and decorated a bit for Valentine’s Day.  I had to fix it up at least for one day!

Ok so it didn’t turn out quite as I intended but who cares for one day right?  Well now that “one day” is over and I have cleaned it up and tucked it all away in the attic and craft boxes.
I can’t believe I used to throw all of that extra stuff away.  I just don’t have the heart to do it anymore!
Hope you are having a good week!
